Samsara

Samsara already knows where the truck was.

I do not replace Samsara. I read it, next to the fuel card and the TMS, so a swipe can be checked against a ping you already pay for.

Read-only on a system the shop knows

Your drivers and dispatchers stay in Samsara. I do not give them a new login and I do not push notes back into Samsara. You create the key. You can pull it.

If Samsara has a tank reading, I use it with the same rule as any other sensor. A calm trace can verify a fill. A jumping trace cannot.

The card is still the other half

Samsara does not know the price on a Relay, WEX, or Comdata swipe unless you have already joined them. That join is the work. Relay, WEX, Comdata, or another card all start the same way: a read of the purchases.

If you also run Motive on part of the fleet, say so. Mixed telematics is common. I match each device to its tractor instead of pretending the fleet is one brand.

What I look for

What I need from Samsara

01

Vehicle locations

Pings around each swipe, for the tractors that burn the fuel.

02

A stable unit id

The same tractor the card and the TMS are trying to name.

03

Your key

Read-only, in your account, revocable on your side.

Short answers

Before you book.

Next step

Let's use the Samsara data you already have.

15 minutes. If Samsara is live and the card is live, the audit has somewhere to start.

15 minutes. Your trucks, your systems, and whether an audit is worth it. I reply within one business day. Privacy.
