TMS

The TMS knows the truck. The card knows the gallons.

Dispatch swaps units. The card still has yesterday's number. The TMS is how I tell a real assignment from a typed habit.

Three names for one truck

A load, a card prompt, and a GPS device can each carry a different unit number on the same afternoon. Reconciliation is noticing that, not coloring a spreadsheet.

I read the TMS. I cannot change a load, a driver, or a stop. If the TMS is the source of truth for assignment, the mixup line says so.

When the TMS is the clue

A swipe on a unit that was not dispatched, while the dispatched unit's tank rose, is a classic mixup. A swipe on a unit that was not dispatched and no tank rose is a review.

If you run a TMS I have not seen, we start from the export or the read-only login you can grant. The pattern does not require a specific brand.

What I look for

What I read from dispatch

01

Assigned tractor

The unit that was supposed to be on the load.

02

Driver

When the TMS has it, so the card prompt can be compared.

03

Time window

The hours the load was live, not the whole week.

Short answers

Before you book.

Next step

Let's put the TMS next to the card.

You keep the keys. I only need a read of what dispatch already knows.

15 minutes. Your trucks, your systems, and whether an audit is worth it. I reply within one business day. Privacy.
