When and where
Timestamp and site, not just a statement total.
WEX
WEX is a common fleet card. The audit question is the same as any other card: did those gallons meet a truck you own.
Finance can already see WEX spend. The mystery is operational. Which charges have a tractor, which charges have only a typed number, and which charges have neither.
I will not shop your fuel price. If the gallon is real and the truck was there, the price is a purchasing topic, not a theft topic.
Unit prompts, odometer prompts, and product codes are clues. A wrong odometer with a right truck is a sloppy prompt. A right-looking prompt with no truck is a review.
DEF, reefer, and bulk fuel can live on the same card. I label them from the evidence. I do not assume every gallon is a tractor saddle tank.
What I look for
Timestamp and site, not just a statement total.
Unit and any odometer prompt, kept as typed.
GPS for the tractor that was supposed to burn it.
Short answers
No. I am independent. I read what you can grant. I do not sell the card.
No. Read-only. Limits stay with your card admin.
Next step
If finance has the statement and operations has the trucks, the audit is the missing join.
